2008 AWI Eastern/Mid-Western regional qualifier

Now in its second year, this regional qualifier is held in conjunction with the UFO’s Ashley Whippet Canine Classic hosted by Tom Wehrli in the beautiful suburb of Naperville, Chicago.  The top 25 teams automatically qualify for this year’s World Championships.

2008 AWI Japan Series hosted by the NPA

Entering its fourth year, the NPA of Japan has teamed together with Hero to put on an average of 13 annual events to see which teams qualify for the top spots.  AWI’s last two world champions have come from this group of dedicated disc dog teams, and this year the competitors will be looking to extend that streak.

2008 AWI Western Regional Qualifier

Also entering its fourth year, this event gives any team the final chance to qualify for the AWI World Championships.  Being held at the famous venue in LaMirada, CA, you can look for great competition and warm spirits at a time of year when the temperature is comfortable.  Whether a competitor or spectator, you can be guaranteed the world’s best will be showcasing their best performances.  We invite all of you to join the fun!

2008 AWI World Championships

This year’s venue, Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA will feature the indisputable true Ashley Whippet World Champion, with the winning team’s name going on the one and only Lander Cup.  Dedicated in the memory of Irv Lander, who is one of the true pioneers of the founding history of disc dog competition, this winning team’s name will be forever engraved on the trophy of all disc dog trophies.  Come and witness and be a part of over 30 years of disc dog excellence.
